Verzendbeleid

IN GENERAL

Throughout the site, the terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to Papillon the Studio. By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our service policy and agree to be bound by the following policy, including those additional terms and conditions available by hyperlink. This policy applies to all users of the site. A breach or violation of any of the policy will result in an immediate termination of your use of this website. 

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell any product or graphic image from our website and socials without written permission from us. 

Disclaimer: Most images are mock-ups, so colors and proportions may vary slightly. Additionally, the frames used in the mock-ups may not be the same as the ones available for purchase. Lastly, we want to display the design in the best possible way. Each design is adjusted to the size of the poster, which means the design may vary slightly depending on the size.

You are not allowed to transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature. 

We accept suggestions, ideas and proposals, whether by social media, by email, by postal mail or by telephone. However, we may, but have no obligation to, monitor, edit or remove content that we determine are offensive, threatening, libelous, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable. You agree that your comments will not violate privacy or other personal right. We take no responsibility for any comments posted by you. 

We reserve the right to refuse service at any time (including after you submit your order) for any reason and without notice. 

We reserve the right to change the prices of our products without notice. 

We reserve the right to correct any inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information at any time, without notice, except as required by law.

SHIPPING POLICY

Transport - Our production partner Gelato transports the posters. With production locations worldwide, you benefit from reduced shipping distances and lower emissions. Gelato delivers to 200+ countries and has local produce in 32 countries. They are able to do this because of 130+ print partners. However custom fees might still apply due to local regulations. Whenever an order is produced in the same country of delivery no custom fees will apply. At times, Gelato may route an order to a different producer and ship the product internationally, based on multiple factors. Where an order is routed is determined by an algorithm that works to ensure stock availability, production capacity, and logistics to ensure a smooth and fast delivery. Customs fees may apply based on local regulations when we ship internationally across borders. The fee may vary depending on your order value, country limits, and other factors based on the product itself. You, the customer, is responsible for these fees. Shipping time - Shipping time in Europe is on average 3-8 days and in the US 4-9 days. For more regions click here. You are now on the Gelato website, my production partner. Scroll down and find Shipping rates and delivery times. Choose 'Poster' and your country. The delivery time depends on how long it takes to produce and fulfill the order and the time it takes to ship the product to your customer. Other factors are the type of product, where it is produced and delivered, the size and dimensions of the order, the production capacity and the shipping method. For most countries, you can choose between Standard/Economy and Express shipping. There is pallet shipping for large orders: to ensure the quality of the delivered products for large orders and volumes, we will ship on pallets for orders weighing over 28kg. A loading bay, lifting platform, or other forklift equipment is required for receiving the goods. 

Track and trace - Tracking codes and shipping confirmation emails will pop up in your mailbox as soon as possible. Papillon the Studio can track the order as well in their Gelato dashboard. If you did not receive a track and trace code, please contact us and we will check on the dashboard. Track and trace emails vary per transport company in design and regulations.

 

PO Boxes - Delivery to PO boxes is only offered in the United States. This option is available for orders shipped with FedEx Smartpost, USPS and UPS Mail Innovations.  

Requirements for shipping adresses -  "These requirements are mandatory for the shipping providers to accept the package. 

The most important requirements are:

  • The fields have a character limit (different for each field) - this is due to shipping partners' requirements. It is not possible to exceed the limit because this would not fit on the shipping label. In general the limit is 35 characters per address line, however, there are 2 exceptions: For Germany it is 40 for adress line 1 and 25 for adress line 2. For Brazil it is 35 for adress line 1 and 30 for adress line 2. 

  • The postcode must be valid and meet local requirements. This includes the number of digits, permissible characters, etc.

  • Phone number is mandatory for some shipping providers, especially express. Max length is 10 digits (and for UAE, the country code can be omitted)

  • Shipping addresses for China, Japan and South Korea must be added in the local language due to shipping partners' requirements. For address line fields, only a limited number of Latin characters is allowed. 

  • For Brazil, there are some additional requirements needed to comply with local tax regulations. 

  • The state code is mandatory for the following countries: Australia, Brazil, Chile, India, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Read more here.

  • There should not be any special characters in the address fields. Shipping cost -  The shipping costs depend on the type of product and the region of delivery. For any extra product in the same order, a small fee is added. To check the average cost click here. For custom fees, see the transport paragraph above. 

Packaging - Gelato uses efficient and damage-resistant ways to package its products. Posters and frames are delivered together, but unmounted. The frames will be delivered pre-packed with corners and film, they will be placed in a flat package with strong edges. 

Lost or late orders - There are several cases that can happen. Please contact us when your case is not shown below. 

 

  • If your order appears to be lost, please contact us within 30 days from the delivery date. A free reprint will be sent to you.

  • The estimated delivery date is already in the past and the order has not been shipped, please contact us within 30 days. 

  • The estimated delivery date is already in the past and the order has been shipped, please contact us as soon as possible. 

  • When the order is marked as delivered, ask the shipping provider. A refund or free print is not possible.

  • If a poster is not delivered together with the frame and there is only one tracking link and the poster is missing, please contact us. A free reprint will be sent to you. 

  • When your order is returned to sender please contact us as soon as possible. Reasons could be an incorrect or incomplete address, the shipment was unclaimed at customs, the shipment was unclaimed at the courier's pick up point, recipient being unavailable when the courier attempted delivery, the courier may not support delivery to PO boxes, the delivery destination was a military address. 

  • When there is several days between tracking updates, please note: "the estimated delivery date provided is based on information from carriers and is not a guarantee. RETURN POLICY

Returns - Within 14 days you have the right to cancel your order and return the product. Please contact us within those 14 days and we will give you a return address. You will receive a total refund, including the shipping cost you already paid, within 14 days after your request. A damaged product cannot be returned. However, the shipping costs paid for the return are on your behalf.  

Quality guarantee -  If you are not satisfied with the quality of the product, please contact us with in 30 days. You will receive a free reprint or a refund. Note: color consistency does not apply to our quality guarantee. See below. Please make sure to attach any supporting photos or attachments relevant to your claim.


We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors and images of our products that appear in store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's color display will be accurate. Gelato uses the same print machines, paper types, and work processes as their print partners to minimize color variations. "Having said that, printing is a chemical process and 100% consistency cannot be achieved. Multiple factors influence the color, consistency, and final result: machine type, machine settings, paper types, humidity in the room, and when the machine was last cleaned, just to mention a few examples. If you receive defective or damaged orders, such as damage to the delivered products, errors in the number or quantity of the delivered products, or lack of quality of the delivered product not caused by lack of quality of the content Papillon the Studio provided, please contact us within 30 days. The order will be sent again on our behalf. Please make sure to attach any supporting photos or attachments relevant to your claim. You keep the original product. We give our customers a 2-year guarantee.

Uw privacy is voor Papillon the Studio van groot belang. Wij houden ons dan ook aan de relevante wet- en regelgeving over privacy, waaronder de Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (verder: AVG). Dit betekent dat wij:

Process order

When you place an order with us, we use your personal data to handle it properly. We may then provide your personal data to our delivery service to have the order delivered to you. We also receive information about your payment from your bank or credit card company. For this we use your:

With the exception of the parties that are necessary to provide the services mentioned above, we do not under any circumstances provide your personal data to other companies or institutions, except if we are legally obliged to do so (for example, if the police require this if a crime is suspected).

We keep statistics about the use of our webshop.

Social media buttons are included in our webshop. With this, the administrators of these services collect your personal data.

Our webshop uses cookies. Cookies are small files in which we can store information, so that you do not have to enter it every time. But we can also see that you visit us again. You can disable the placing of cookies via your browser, but some things in our webshop will no longer work properly.

If you want to submit a complaint about the use of your personal data, you can send an email to contact@papillonthestudio.nl. We handle every complaint internally and communicate this further with you.

If you feel that we are not helping you in the right way, you have the right to submit a complaint to the supervisory authority. This is called the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

  • I cannot find my question in the FAQ. What should I do?
    Please, read our policy or contact us via email or telephone.
  • How can I track my order?
    Tracking codes and shipping confirmation emails will pop up in your mailbox as soon as possible. Papillon the Studio can track the order as well in their Gelato dashboard. If you did not receive a track and trace code, please contact us and we will check the dashboard. Track and trace emails vary per transport company in design and regulations.
  • My order is lost or late.
    There are several cases that can happen. Please contact us when your case is not shown below. If your order appears to be lost, please contact us within 30 days from the delivery date. A free reprint will be sent to you. The estimated delivery date is already in the past and the order has not been shipped, please contact us within 30 days. A refund or free print is not possible. If a poster is not delivered together with the frame and there is only one tracking link and the poster is missing, please contact us.   • Is a frame included with the purchase of a poster?
    No. You can buy this separately.
  • I received a wrong product.
    If you receive wrong order, the order will be sent again on our behalf. Please make sure to attach any supporting photos or attachments relevant to your claim. You keep the original product. We give our customers a 2-year guarantee.
  • The number or quantity of the delivered products is wrong.
    If there is an error in the number or quantity of the delivered products, the missing products will be sent on our behalf. Please make sure to attach any supporting photos or attachments relevant to your claim.
  • I received a damaged product.
    If you defective or damaged orders, not caused by lack of quality of the content Papillon the Studio provided, please contact us within 30 days. The order will be sent again on our behalf. Please make sure to attach any supporting photos or attachments relevant to your claim. You keep the original product. We give our customers a 2-year guarantee.
  • I want to return my product. How can I do that?
    Within 14 days you have the right to cancel your order and return the product. Please contact us within those 14 days and we will give you a return address. You will receive a total refund, including the shipping cost you already paid, within 14 days after your request. A damaged product cannot be returned. However, the shipping costs paid for the return are on your behalf.
  • The colours do not meet my expectations.
    We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors and images of our products that appear in store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's color display will be accurate. Gelato uses the same print machines, paper types, and work processes as their print partners to minimize color variations. "Having said that, printing is a chemical process and 100% consistency cannot be achieved. Multiple factors influence the color, consistency, and final result: machine type, machine settings, paper types, humidity in the room, and when the machine was last cleaned, just to mention a few examples. Color variations that may occur due to the above-mentioned reasons lie within acceptable tolerance levels and are not covered under our quality guarantee."   • What's the shipping time?
    Shipping time in Europe is on average 3-8 days and in the US 4-9 days. For more regions click here. You are now on the Gelato website, my production partner. Scroll down and find Shipping rates and delivery times. Choose 'Poster' and your country. The delivery time depends on how long it takes to produce and fulfill the order and the time it takes to ship the product to your customer. Other factors are the type of product, where it is produced and delivered, the size and dimensions of the order, the production capacity and the shipping method. For most countries, you can choose between Standard/Economy and Express shipping. There is pallet shipping for large orders: to ensure the quality of the delivered products for large orders and volumes, we will ship on pallets for orders weighing over 28kg. A loading bay, lifting platform, or other forklift equipment is required for receiving the goods.
  • Why are my products from a same order not packaged and shipped together?
    Sometimes, a posters or frames from a same order will be fullfilled by different fulfillment centers. Our production partner Gelato transports the posters. With production locations worldwide, you benefit from reduced shipping distances and lower emissions. Gelato delivers to 200+ countries and has local produce in 32 countries. They are able to do this because of 130+ print partners. At times, Gelato may route an order to a different producer and ship the product internationally, based on multiple factors. Where an order is routed is determined by an algorithm that works to ensure stock availability, production capacity, and logistics to ensure a smooth and fast delivery.
  • What are the payment methods I can use?
    You can use iDeal, Apple Pay and Credit/Debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, ChinaUnionPay, Jcb, Diners, CartesBancaires, Discover, Electron, Maestro.
